Reduce Inflammation In The Trigeminal Nerve
– Toothache? Drooping Eyelid? Eye Twitch? Dizziness?
The Trigeminal Nerve is a nerve in the face beginning at the temple area and traversing across the face.
I can remember having a toothache in 2006 that lasted for months despite antibiotics, etc. The Doctor took at least 3 xrays in those months that showed everything was fine. We then found that I had a sinus infection – fungal, not bacterial, in nature. This was no surprise as we had a hidden roof leak (for 5 years) that had caused mold growth behind a wall in our living room.
Supplements from Whole Foods work!
The toothache and sinus infection were successfully treated by my Doctor with nutritional supplements and life went on. Then I could not deny, one upper molar never felt right and I ended up having a root canal. With the nerve gone, I still felt ‘sensation’ in that upper jaw area where there was no root nerve, therefore, no reason to ‘feel’ anything. Off and on my left eye would twitch uncontrollably for years . It would come and go.
More symptoms, no relief
A couple of years ago, I started to experience one eyelid noticeably drooping. I spent a lot of money on ‘tightening’ creams and masques. Nothing helped. As I am now 70, I chalked it up to aging and let it go.
About 2 months ago, I began getting bouts of dizziness, it seemed like in my eyes and not my head. It was a weird sensation but worrisome when I would be driving. If I were home, I would take a break or lay down and close my eyes. Then right after Thanksgiving, I got a horrid toothache in the upper jaw that seemed to radiate pain along the entire upper jaw. I couldn’t imagine what could be happening. My entire mouth hurt whenever I chewed anything, no matter the texture. Nothing in my experience of therapies seemed to work.
Trigeminal Nerve Therapy
Subsequently, I began practicing Bowen Therapy and noticed my body feeling better but the dizziness was worsening. Because of that I decided to have a Cranial Sacral session.. OMG, my therapist said that my Trigeminal Nerve – a nerve in the face from the temple and across the face was inflamed. She then showed me how I could massage my face to relax the nerve on both temples and on the face and around the ears.
Finally, RELIEF
I began a nightly ritual of massage of the trigeminal nerve area at the point of origin, including my ears and on my whole face using CBD topical cream, an essential oil blend, and the essential oil Frankincense.
In about 2 days, there was 50% improvement in pain and 4 days later, almost no pain. The droopy eyelid has improved and looks the same as the other eye. Eye twitch and dizziness have not returned..
Disease is Always Preceded by Symptoms of Discomfort
I’m always amazed at how symptoms of discomfort or disease are hints of some imbalance in the body that may not be even noticeable in early stages.
As I transition to new experiences, I’m happy to know that my experiences are tools in my ‘toolbox for life’ and I am always happy to share the fruits of my journey.
